PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

 

MINI'S: LAST SCHEDULE

18 mos to 2.5 years
Introduction to motor skills. Introduction to games and stretching and light equipment use. A great way to learn community instructions in a controlled environment. Parent or guardian involvement required

CHIQUITOS:  LAST SCHEDULE

3-4 yrs.
45 minutes

This is a progressive program where children are exposed to concepts such as waiting your turn, listening ears, keeping hands to your self etc. The class focuses on movement education and creative expressions while warming up and stretching. Gymnastics fundamentals on all appartus are introduced. Parent or Caregiver participation is optional.

Monday through Fridays 9:30 to 10:15 & 1:30-2:15
Saturdays ....................9:00-9:45


MALISKAS:  LAST SCHEDULE

3.5-5 yrs.
1 hour
This class is designed to increase motor skills, introduce children to more complex exercises, as well as increase strength and flexibility. By now they will be using all Olympic apparatus modified to size and age. Children will start to memorize routines performed to music and will be able to perform, at the Gymworld Academy Seasonal Meet should they choose. Parent participation is allowed only when is necessary.

RECREATIONAL PROGRAM

This is a progressive program which follows the National USA Gymnastics level 1-4 skills. All Olympic apparatus and gymnastics equipment are used to help the gymnast learn in a safe, fun, and progressive environment. Each class is 1 to 1.5 hours long, depending on level.


LITTLE TUMBLERS:

5 to 8 yrs., all levels
Monday through Thursday .....3:30-4:30
Monday through Thursday......3:30-5:00
Saturday...........................11:00-12:00


TUMBLERS:

9 yrs. and up, all levels.
Monday and Wednesday 4:30-6:00 pm


CHEER-TEENERS:

10 yrs and up
Monday & Wednesday 4:30-6:00

This is a fun and social program designed for girls who would like to continue challenging themselves and do not have the desire or ability to compete. Cheer-teeners are also for gymnasts who would like to enter the world of cheer leading and need to learn basic and high level tricks. Class focuses mainly on tumbling and trampoline. Apparatus are used occasionally to reinforce speed and motor skills. Gymnasts are welcome to bring their own music to the workout.


OPEN GYM

During the hours of Open Gym, Gymworld becomes a type of playground supervised by an adult coach. It is not instructed, but children can feel free to practice routines and exercises on the equipment. Children must follow rules and security guidelines. Parents are not allowed to use the equipment, however they may assist their youngsters if needed.


COMPETITIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

This program is design for children who have the desire and drive to take gymnastics to the next level and become competitors. To be a part of this program, participants must come to practice two times every week for 1, 1.5 or 2 hour sessions, depending of their level. An evaluation by Coach Management most be done prior registering for these classes

COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

This program is for the gymnast that has all the requirements stipulated by the USA Gymnastics Association for their competitive level, as well as having an understanding of the commitment, discipline, dedication and loyalty necessary to be a part of a team.

Gymworld holds team try-outs at various times during the year. All gymnast who have learn the necessary elements, are welcome to participate. Gymworld’s staff is trained to monitor all gymnasts behavior during regular training hrs. Those gymnasts who are respectful, hard working, attend consistently, and display comraderie among their peers will be strongly considered.

Once invited to join, all team members must have the competitive leotard, suit, gymbag, and other essentials as requested by their coaches, such as grips. Each team member will also get their own locker where they are welcome to leave necessary toiletries, grip, snacks and other essentials.

At this point, they will learn the compulsory routines and when they are able to execute their routines safely and are mentally ready, we will introduce them into the competitive world.

Due to the pressure of performing in front of a large group of people, and their inexperience, we ask our gymnasts not stress over their scores or placement. At this point they should enjoy the experience.

MEET SCHEDULES

In the competitive gymnastics world, there are two seasons, spring and fall.
Gymworld participates in five meets during the spring season that runs from January through May and four meets in the fall season that runs from September through November. There will be an additional meet for those gymnasts who qualify for local Zone and State competitions You will be provide with a schedule by late December for the spring season and by late June for the fall season with the weekend dates and the locations of the meets. However, we do not get the exact date or time until a few days prior. You will be notified as soon as we get it. You are also welcome to go directly to hosting gym web site. It is mandatory that all our gymnasts participate in all the scheduled meets, since this is for the benefit of the TEAM as well as for their individual development.
